Not so many other events this weekend (with one slightly mental exception) and so the Harriers headed for the parkruns, especially the Valley, mainly gamely incorporating parkruns into their long runs for the week. Valley parkrun: Neil Campbell 19:48, Ken McAuley 22:19, Susan Thompson 23:56 (First lady finisher), Tony McKeating 26:05, Olivia Thompson 26:45, Clare…
Another week, another blizzard. Well, it’s been no bed of roses, no pleasure cruise. I consider it a challenge before the whole human race and I ain’t gonna lose. Yes, we are and, yes, I know what you want to read about. This is what we top end reporters call “building the excitement” and so…
The sun was out this morning, but so was the black ice, so well done to those skaters who managed to safely complete their long runs today. It’s been a busy weekend for all you Harriers so let’s get on with it. Valley parkrun: Brendan McGeown 23:23, Yasmin Lynn 26:59 PB, Terry McIvor 27:00 (well…
Well, another week, another 7 days filled with overindulgence and guilt. Xmas is so last year and the Spring target races are galloping towards us much faster than I’ll ever go. I was going to start by letting you know my new year’s resolution but, as I’m already perfect, I don’t need to make any. But good luck with yours. Maybe its to get faster, whilst still filling yourself with alcohol and cake. But on to the results… Race Over The Glens: Held back on New…
Folks, with so much going on, your weekly news report is a long one so you might as well grab a cuppa now. Your humble reporter made the brave decision yesterday to delay the report so that all the NYD parkruns could be included. Why, oh why? Yesterday, I was a year younger, less ill…
Well, twas the night before Christmas, when all through the house not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse. Mainly because we were all watching Die Hard and eating Quality Street. Hopefully you have recovered from Nuala’s Santa Run or the Grew’s mulled wine or whatever running you managed this weekend. Despite what you…
