Having the ClubMark NI Accreditation shows our members and parents of our junior members that the club is committed to ensuring a quality and safe environment to develop their love of running. It ensures that the club is being correctly governed and is recognition from Sport NI and Athletics NI that we are massively proud about.

The process highlighted what we are doing well but also things that we could improve on and I am pleased that we have addressed these issues.

We are thankful to each and every one of our members who have made this possible. We were delighted with the comments of Paula Wallace from Athletics NI who highlighted the strength of our submissions, giving particular reference to Mallusk Harrier’s community involvement.

Particular thanks must go to our Club Development Officer, Karen McKee who led the process for us. She did a superb job and her hard work was rightly recognised by Athletics NI." Alex Davidson, Chairman.

"Clubmark aims to identify, develop, accredit and recognise high quality sports clubs and the contribution they make to the development of sport in Northern Ireland. To gain Clubmark accreditation, clubs are required to evidence compliance with the core Clubmark NI criteria. I would like to congratulate Mallusk Harriers, this relatively young club, on their hard work and commitment that has driven the achievement of this gold standard award. And we, at Athletics NI are looking forward to working with them in the future", Paula Wallace - Athletics NI
