As an athletics club, we’re committed to creating and maintaining the safest possible environment for children, young people and vulnerable people to practise athletics

At Mallusk Harriers, we believe in offering and helping young people from our community access into athletics.

What your child will gain?

Training and competing in events is a great way to improve your child's health, confidence and social skills. Not only do we see an improvement in self esteem but socially, friendships are forged through sport across communities and different schools.

Safeguarding is a top priority at Mallusk Harriers.

Recognising that the participant’s welfare is paramount

Ensure participants train and compete in an enjoyable and safe environment whatever their age, culture, disability, gender, racial origin or religious belief. Recognising that adults at the club have a duty of care for these participants to protect them from bullying and undue pressure in training and competition. We ensure that all volunteers are trained and compliant.

All coaches are Access NI Cleared and have completed SafeGuarding training.

Contact us regards joining

If you are interested in coming along to Mallusk Harriers you must first contact our Club Secretary and apply for membership.

We are also closely linked to parkrun. The junior 2k parkrun takes place every Sunday morning  at either Jordanstown or the Waterworks. Parkrun is free and a great way to get the family involved in running.
