Club Report – Sunday 2nd September 2018
On Tuesday evening, we were well represented in both the women’s and men’s team events at the annual East Antrim inter club race hosted by Larne AC. Overall, the men were 6th and the women were 9th.

It was the final event in the Firmus track series on Thursday at the Mary Peters Track. In the Under 13s 100m, Adam McCann ran 15.07 for third place claiming another podium, while in the U13s 1500m, Tom Fleming also took the podium, with 5:06.37 for second place, with Adam McCann 5:39.26

On Saturday, our ‘Vest in the West’ Aidy Hughes took part in the Great Torrent Run nailing 20:00 exactly for the 5k race.
Our furthest traveller this week was Nuala Muldoon, who added the Dingle marathon to her long collection of marathon races, finishing in 4:20:53.

There were several contenders for highlight of the week, not least Team McGeown’s success at last night’s fundraising quiz, or Danny’s almost wardrobe malfunction with a last minute dash to Sports Direct sparing a few blushes just in time, but it was meeting running legend Paula Radcliffe at the Laganside 10k that takes top billing. Another great day for the club with some wonderful performances on what was a hot day. Special mention to all the juniors who took part and did amazing today in the 1 mile run:
