Club Report – Sunday 20th January 2019
Well, it was a week where we all took a breath and gathered ourselves after the big effort of organising and/or running a huge XC event. Then again, judging by Strava, for many it was a week of 5am alarm calls and running 7 miles every four hours. You know who you are!
One we missed last week was Adam McCann competing in the UUJ Indoor Sprints and Hurdles on Sat 12th. Adam came 1st in the U14 60m hurdles in 13:82. He was also 3rd in the U14 and U15 60m sprint in 9:66. Well done on both Adam!
I also now have the full junior results from our XC event. And they are definitely worth reporting!

Yesterday was the latest Born2Run event at Gosford. Our own Mark Smith gained yet another podium finish, coming second in 36:17. Well done (again) Mark! Ramunas Stanevicius continued his recent good form with 40:30 in the same event.
The results don’t record club affiliations in these events so please either post to Team App or come in the Top 3 to ensure you get included in the report.
The podium challenge continued today as Lee O’Boyle matched Mark’s 2nd place, this time in the Northern Velocity Garvagh 10k trail race in a time of 36:59. Well done Sir.
Mrs C wouldn’t let me post the video I wanted to do. Not being nice, she said. (Answers on a postcard…) So instead, here’s a tune to help you chill out after a week of long miles, early starts and double days. But remember, it’s not because I like you. Cus I don’t.
Until next week behave.
