Club Run Report – 19th December 2021
It’s the most wonderful time of the year. That time where I can eat and drink absolutely everything, safe in the knowledge that I can justify it with “I’ll get back to training in January. Sure it’s only a week or two away”. I may need rolled onto the 3G pitches on a Tuesday but I’ll be back!
Taking on the parkruns this week were:
Valley parkrun:
Roisin Brooks 31:28, Marie McBrien 38:26
ECOS Ballymena parkrun:
Neil McCready 23:13
Queen’s parkrun:
Elaine Kennedy 29:04
Carrickfergus parkrun:
Matthew Hawkins 29:36, Ciaran Hawkins 29:37
Comber parkrun:
Elijah Cushley 22:49PB
Sixmilewater parkrun:
Tom Fleming 17:58 and 1st finisher, Ciaran Wright 22:18, Maeve Dunseath 25:48
Queen’s parkrun, Glasgow:
Sarah Ross 27:27
Crawfordsburn Country parkrun:
Stephen Semple 24:56, Maeve Kennedy 25:26
But most Harriers were on a day out, taking their best PB efforts across town to Victoria. Glory hunters the lot of them!
Ramunas Stanevicius 19:14PB, Andrew McNevison 19:18, Alan Erwin 19:19, Stephen Armour 19:32PB, Johnny Carey 21:34, Lord Ian Brennan 23:03, Cathy Ryan 25:00, Alan Kerr 25:11, Gemma Fowler 26:25, Clare Teer 26:26PB, Sinead O’Hare 27:50, ADav 27:51, John Teer 36:40
7 first timers on the course so not sure if any of these are 5k PBs. And one PB missed by one second. Unlucky son!
Jordanstown junior parkrun:
Tom Fleming ROTM 6:49PB and 1st finisher (another weekend double, Emily Murphy 8:48PB and 1st female finisher, Kobe McClelland 9:42, Matthew Hawkins 10:20
The only other racing this week was the latest Born2Run Run Forest Run event. This one was the 10k at Tollymore:
Matthew Cavill 55:00, Dermot Boyd 1:09:46
So, I let me wish a safe and Happy Christmas to all the Harriers. Have a good one.
Then get ready to hurt in the new year.
